Der Kantonsrat hat am 23. März 2026 Dr. iur. Evelyne Gmünder zur Vizepräsidentin des Kantonsgerichts mit Amtsantritt per 1. Juli 2026 gewählt. Sie ersetzt Dr. iur. Stefan Marti, welcher auf Ende Juni 2026 von seinem Amt als Vizepräsident zurücktritt und eine Richterstelle am Kreisgericht St. Gallen antritt.
