The digitization of business relations also impacts contract law. If digital content or digital services are to be delivered, updates, modifications and «digital obsolescence» become a regulatory topic. The new Directives 2019/770 and 2019/771 of the European Union contain respective norms but the manifold interpretation issues might lead to legal uncertainty. In addition, an improved conceptual harmony amongst the phenomena reflecting the need of adjusting to technological advances would be desirable.
