Antoine Verdon

Entrepreneur and investor, founder and president of the Swiss Legaltech Association

 

 

Antoine is a founder of Legal Technology Switzerland AG, a company working on developing new ways to deliver better and more accessible legal services through digital channels. In 2016, he also co-founded the Swiss LegalTech Association, in an effort to bring shape the emerging LegalTech scene in Switzerland.

Between 2013 and 2015, Antoine has developed and led one of the first venture capital vehicles in Switzerland with an exclusive focus on FinTech. As Head of Centralway Ventures, he was in charge of deal sourcing, investments and portfolio management. Centralway Ventures invests in Seed/A rounds globally, with an exclusive focus on financial technology and a typical deal size of $100-300k. He has since then been working as a strategic advisor to several Swiss banks on FinTech topics.

Antoine worked at UBS, Lombard Odier and Arthesia AG – a Zurich-based consultancy. In 2008 he co-founded Sandbox (Now “Thousand“), the foremost global community for talented young individuals below 30, uniting and incubating members from over 50 countries at hundreds of events across the globe. Sandbox has been featured widely in Swiss and international media.

Passionate about politics, he became a member of the parliament of his home city, Lausanne, at the age of 20 – the youngest member ever elected. In 2005, he co-authored a book on global challenges in collaboration with several leaders including HRH The Prince of Wales.

Antoine studied law at the Universities of Fribourg and St. Gallen. In 2010 and in 2013, he was named in the 100 top Swiss personalities by the magazines L’Hebdo and Bilan. A Swiss Saber champion in 1999, Antoine still practices fencing in his free time.
